How we write our Bali guides
The Lokalfinds guides answer practical questions about living in Bali: visas, rent, vehicles, everyday costs. This page explains who publishes them, where the facts come from and how they are corrected.
Who publishes the guides
The guides are published by the Lokalfinds editorial team on behalf of MEROVA LLC, the publisher of the site. They are signed by the team, not by an individual.
Where the facts come from
Every figure, rule or price must come from a source we can link to. Official sources come first: Indonesian laws and regulations, immigration, tax and ministry websites, operators' official price lists. Recognised specialists come next. The sources are listed at the end of each article, labelled official or commercial.
Dates and updates
Each guide shows its publication date and, once revised, the date of its last update. Prices and rules change often in Bali: a figure is valid for the date given in the article.
Reporting an error
Found an error or an outdated figure? Write to contact@lokalfinds.com with the link to the article. We check the source, correct the article and its update date changes.
